NuBarter Sarasota-Bradenton is Growing by Leaps and Bounds!

Saturday, April 16th, 2011

Kevin Daly and Caroline Gosnell are the territory owners of NuBarter Sarasota Bradenton.   The territory is rapidly growing and their members are actively trading. They presently are 156 businesses strong and increasing.  Last month was a record in trading amongst their members, and this month is already showing signs of beating that.  When asked why their territory is growing so fast?  Their answer lied in the philosophy  that the combination of relationship building, personal touch with customers and good teamwork are very effective tools in creating success.   Kevin Daly conducts the sales and recruitment of new members; and Caroline handles customer service creating the personal touch — by meeting each and every member one on one. This is what helps them to succeed.  Caroline finds out what their members’ needs are, and Kevin, in turn, looks to fulfill them by recruiting those types businesses — so they can start trading and keeping cash in their business.  Caroline says “If members aren’t succeeding, we are not succeeding.”  NuBarter only brings in quality members.  Kevin and Caroline are very selective in the membership process.  They conduct reference checks and receive testimonials to ensure quality service.

Once members sign up, Caroline provides them with tutorials in getting set up so they can start trading and conducting transactions immediately on the NuBarter website.  Caroline’s personal touch continues by having phone meetings with members to assist them in their transactions.  If she cannot be contacted, they know they can also contact Kevin for assistance, or call the corporate office.

To further accommodate its members, NuBarter Sarasota Bradenton holds two networking events per month.  One is held at the Southern part of the county and one is at the Northern part of the county.  An added bonus is that Caroline and Kevin also promote NuBarter Sarasota-Bradenton’s members outside of NuBarter at the many networking groups they attend.    Any time they hear the need of a particular business – they are all eyes and ears – they are always thinking of their members and provide them with referrals.  They believe in creating a win-win situation.

If you are a business owner in the Sarasota-Bradenton and want to be part of a winning team, receive personalized service and grow your business, join NuBarter Sarasota-Bradenton.  You are guaranteed to be trading and keeping cash in your business.

Businesses turn to bartering to boost bottom line- WWSB ABC 7 Florida – Sarasota

Friday, September 24th, 2010

SARASOTA – The economy has been tough for many Suncoast businesses. But some have found a way to keep cash in their company by bartering with other businesses.

There is no cash being exchanged. Instead, business owners are trading goods and services through a bartering company.

The way it works is an owner may have a product he or she wants to sell that another owner wants. A value is placed on the item, known as “barter dollars.” And with those dollars, an owner can then buy another good or service.

And it seems bartering is catching on.

Keith Harrison is the owner of Cartridge World on Clark Road in Sarasota. He opened his business about three-and-a-half years ago. “We started right when everything started to go down. We lost some good clients, but everyone now is looking for ways to save money.” And that includes Keith himself.

So as a way to save, he started to barter. “I have saved money…I’ve saved my cash because I don’t have to pay someone cash to do that.”

From air conditioning repairs to business cards and a website design, Keith has been trading his ink cartridges for things his business needs…instead of forking over cash.

“We look at businesses and see what their monthly expenses are and say ‘alright, here are all the services we can provide at 100% barter’, which will free up your cash flow,” says Kevin Daly, co-owner of the Nubarter Suncoast Territory.

Nubarter has more than 25,000 members in the southeast, and every year the company says business has doubled, since businesses are looking for an edge.

“Especially now in this economy. Everyone is looking to save a dollar, but also everyone is looking to grow their business…but everyone is afraid to spend the money,” says Daly.

And the money can stay where you need it to — in your company. “In these economic times when at the end of the month every penny you have in your checkbook, your business account is needed, it’s just a great way,” says Harrison.

There is a fee to join Nubarter. Bartering is open to anyone that sells a good or service. Nubarter says they only deal with reputable businesses with excellent customer service.

NuBarter-Sarasota Sponsors Putting Contest for Venice Chamber

Wednesday, May 12th, 2010

The Venice Area Chamber of Commerce 13th Annual Golf Challenge was held at Pelican Point Country Club on Friday April 30th.  For the second year, NuBarter sponsored a putting contest and donated a two-night getaway for two (purchased with barter $ of course!) as the prize.  Golfers paid $10 to enter, with all proceeds going to the chamber.  This year the prize was 2 nights, including breakfast, at the Main Street Inn & Spa, Hilton Head Island.   Dinner for two at Island Bistro and a round of golf for two at Island West Golf Course.

The contest was scheduled to finish prior to the tournament shotgun start at 1pm., but we had so many contestants that we ended up staying all afternoon to accommodate everyone!  We had a lot of fun, a bit too much sun, but a great day.  In the picture are the Sarasota-Bradenton Area NuBarter team, and NuBarter’s National Sales Manager, Noreen Foley.
